The Stairs

(31/01/2016) Today marks the first day of the hall, stairs and landing remodel. First job was to lift the carpet and see what we're dealing with. So here's a quick before and after. They stairs are in a pretty good condition so they will get a sand, varnish and paint. The landing however can't be rescued after the electricians tore them up and so we'll be laying laminate up there.

(27/03/2016) We have a friend staying with us at the moment so we have an extra pair of hands to give us a hand decorating. Today we've been peeling off the paper and the paint on the stairs. It is slow going because we keep setting off the alarm.

(06/07/2016) Before the plasterer arrives to do the hall stairs and landing we had to strip back all the woodwork. It took all day and was the most horrible job we've done. It was EIGHT door frames!
